# Code Lists Code lists define the controlled vocabularies used for air quality reporting. They ensure that countries use consistent and unambiguous values when reporting information on monitoring, assessment, observations, exceedances, plans and measures. Most code lists are maintained in the **Eionet Data Dictionary**.
